I read this article this morning and feel dissapointed. What it is??? What's the meaning of this??? So, right now, in the 21st century, when technology and network reach everybody... then technology get the right to be blamed for every sins man done??? oh please...
At Monday afternoon my GM told me something interesting... The one that connect to our network is devices, but the one that do the payment is human, so we focus on what makes human want to pay us. It's the person, not the tools! So, could you blame Facebook, Friendster, Twitter, Plurk... or most ridiculously, mobile operator for what human done through their network?!?!
If you want to makes people better, then educate them about the fundamental one... in islam vocabulary, it's aqidah! Human's faith and devotion to their God. One example that my father told me, "jangan takut ngelakuin zina karena takut hamil, hamil sih sekarang bisa dicegah pake obat dan segala macem, tapi takutlah karena Allah bakal marah sama kamu kalau kamu melakukan zina! takutlah karena itu dilarang oleh agamamu, takutlah karena kamu ingat pada Tuhan-mu". And in case of social networking and telecommunication, we use them because we need it to communicate with others, to silaturahmi and do our job well. If we want to do what called sins, we won't do it because we keep our comitment with God.
Don't blame the technology, it just something human created, with initial purpose to make human civilization better. Technology, use it wisely! I think that is the key to prevent whatever sins can be happened through it. God give us brain not just to make our body move, but also to make us think! That's why we different from animal.
Terimakasih.

Welcome... You've Got Mail
I never count how many times I watched 'You've Got Mail' so far, All I know, I'll watch it everytime I get the chance. Last thursday, I downloaded it from a movie forum, and guess what? I watch it over and over until recently, when I type this post.
Several things I like about 'You've Got Mail':
1. It's New York!!! The only place I think I'll like in US. I always fascinated by every movie or TV series that takes place in New York, from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' to 'Sex and the City'. I like the skycrapper, the street, the subway, the stores... everything. Maybe that has been one of so many reasons why I really want to move to big city with Skycrapper... in Indonesia it just means Jakarta.
2. Meg Ryan... I don't really care about Tom Hanks, but I do care about Meg Ryan. I love her for almost as long as I begin to watch a movie :) I've watched almost all of her movies and this one is still my favourite.
3. The soundtrack, from The Puppy Song at the opening then Dreams by The Cranberries... and I'am not just a big fan of them... I devout them :D, also Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder, I Guess the Lord Must be in New York City by Sinead O'Connor and Anyone At All by Carole King... I love all of it.
4. It's Telecommunication!!! They use mail everybody! a form of communication through internet... and maybe, that's one of the reason I get interest in telecommunication especially internet, to bad the internet subject is really not my-cup-of-tea. The movie is 90s, so they use mail... today, in the 21st century, we use blog. They are Web 1.0, we are Web 2.0 :D
5. Every character is unique and interesting. From the lead role to the unimportant one. And as long as I recall, there's no antagonize role in the movie, everyone just has they own interest and business. "it's not personal, it's business!".
6. That F-O-X spelling from the the Matt-boy and the line 'don't you love New York in the fall?' in the beginning.
7. What NY152 said about Starbucks... "the whole purposes of a place like Starbucks is for people with no decision making ability whatsoever to make six decisions just to buy one cup of coffee".
8. The Godfather things,
Shopgirl: "what is it with men and the Godfather?"
NY152: "The Godfather is the I-ching, The Godfather is the sum of all wisdom, The Godfather is the answer of all question".
9. The bookstore... both bookstore, Fox Books and of course the lovely Shop Around The Corner. If you have come to Gramedia Bookstore at Grand Indonesia, maybe you'll find some similiarities between it and Fox Bookstore. The interior, the cafe, the cashier, and of course the size. That's why when I go to Gramedia GI last week, I feel nostalgic to this movie.
10. And the last but not least,"...all this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings". Don't you think the line is catchy??? I love it.
That's the top 10 actually, there's so many left in the list... but I'll keep that for myself :)

Disini saya mengangkat alis.
"berarti lu udah tau cara menghadapi gw dong, temen lu banyak yang virgo" balas teman saya yang pertama tadi.
Kali ini aku hanya mengangguk, 'oke, so, this is all about... astrology??...seriously!!!'
Astrologi... sampai saat ini saya masih merasa itu sebagai satu hal yang tak masuk akal. Tak ada penjelasan logis, tak ada apa-apa. Kalau dilihat, sumber penjabarannya adalah murni statistik kualitatif. Lalu, dapatkah ia dijadikan landasan profiling seseorang???
Dasar asumsi awal... mungkin, tapi justifikasi profiling total... definitely not!

feel left behind
I read Uti's latest post this morning, and feel left behind. My surrounding is buzzing about the upcoming president election, and honestly I don't keep track on the news.
Ugh... fortunately my father not with me right now. He hate to know his daughter doesn't know anything happen outside, and if he knows about my zero attention toward Indonesian hot topics, I'll get scold for sure.
It's not like I don't want to keep track, I just don't get the effective media. I hate read newspaper, and online news website really not my favourite. I'am a pacifist, I like to hear news or watch news, I hate to browse news. Should I buy TV? just to watch Metro or Liputan 6 every night. Or, I have to change my preference of getting information, maybe it's time to be more active... haaahhhh.... (-_-!)

living alone...
it's almost a month since my last post. Sorry blog... quite hectic this day, especially when I realize there's so much to learn... but then, because we don't know everything and we can't do everything, that makes life more interesting :)
So, anything new?
actually I wanna share about my thought of live alone. Jakarta, the metropolitan, the city I call 'my new home'... my father once said... "sejahat-jahatnya ibu tiri, masih lebih jahat ibu kota..."
hahaha... that's funny! I don't know what kind of experience my father had in Jakarta, until he had that kind of thought, but the real thing is he want me to take care of myself more carefully.
21 years of my life, I never live away from my family for more than 2 months. Mamah always wake me up in the morning and cook delicious breakfast for me, then Aa Guna always give me a ride to almost anywhere, and Intan will give me a call at noon just to ask where I am then shut the call :D... by the end of the day, when I get home, my father ask about my day... share his thought and broaden my knowledge... honestly, I really miss that time :)
But you know... Bandung and my family will always be my comfort zone. The place where whatever happen to the world will always makes me happy... it's good, but grown up is about feels hurt... to learn how to stand up after you fall down... and in my case, it's difficult to get the experience if I still stay close to my so-called-comfort zone.
It's not easy for me to make such decision like living alone in a city like Jakarta. But I realize that it's a phase that I have to pass, somekind of a test for me. So... enjoy aja deh... hehehe...
