Another interview...

Yesterday, when I was watching Kyle XY at Star Movies, my phone rang... and tadaaaa... it's from Telkomsel (it's the real one!), and guess what? I have to attend an interview at 3 p.m. at Wisma Mulia Jakarta. Hmmm... ok, I just have an hour to prepare and less than 3 hours to arrive at Wisma Mulia... nice.

Alhamdulillah... I can catch up with it. Cipularang really make it easier to travel jakarta-bandung in a day. Honestly, this jakarta-bandung-jobseek-trip has been a habit for me, and it's quite fun... hehehe... :p

Me, myself and internet

It's already January 24, 7 days until february, but... my speedy quota has out of limit -_-. Ugh, I can hear my father shout right in my ear, "PUPUT!!! BERAPA KALI PAPAH BILANG, PAKE SPEEDYNYA YANG AWET!!! KENAPA BISA LEWAT KUOTA LAGI HEH???"

errr... why??? lets see, ummm... I did a lot of download from Youtube, not to mention some streaming, browse several sites with heavy images, blog and facebook update, and yeah... download some mp3 too ----- Ok, my bad, sorry father m(_ _)m

Internet has been the center of my daily life this last 2 years. No day without check email, no day without rileks (when I still in college), and no day without update blog and blogwalking. A year ago me and my parent make an agreement that I won't go out pass maghrib anymore (except it is really necessary), then they'll make the internet available at home. I did some survey and decide that 1GB speedy package is the most suitable for me at the time.

But this last 3 months, the speedy bills has out of its normal. The worst is November's bill, it's almost 1 million, from a normal 220 thousand (I can still remember my father's anger that time -_-). And this month, once again, the quota usage has been out of limit. Seems that 1GB quota is not sufficient for my internet needs anymore. With me being jobless, stay at home almost everyday, and no activity that can makes me away from my laptop, internet is the only thing left. Haaahhh... I must do other activity, make myself occupied and away from internet for a while, until I get a job and can pay my own internet bill. Any suggestion?

Anyer-Panarukan

I found this interesting book at Gramedia today. Published by Kompas and seems to be a journalistic report of an expedition through anyer-panarukan road. The story behind anyer-panarukan road has fascinated me since I'am in elementary school. My grandmother always told me the story everytime we pass the statue of Pangeran Kusumadinata (a.k.a Pangeran kornel) with Daendels at Cadas Pangeran. Pangeran Kusumadinata is the Bupati at the time, he is known as the one that fight Daendels and his plan to build a road through the rocky mountain at cadas pangeran. Cadas pangeran road is one of the toughest path in anyer-panarukan road, 5 thousand people died in the process. Despite all the bloody history of anyer-panarukan road, we can't doubt that the road is really useful. It's linked the most-west to the most-east of Java island and some path became part of pantura road now.

Right now, cadas pangeran is my favorite spot in my Bandung-Sumedang-mudik-trip. I like the forest, the cliff, even the monkey that can be spotted in the sideway, it's so peaceful, especially when you pass it in the bike and listening to the song "Indah Damai" by 4 peniti in your mp3 player, like I usually do :D

I want the book, it cost quite much and of course I don't have enough money at the moment, but I will buy it as soon as I get the money. The book makes me think to do an anyer-panarukan road trip someday, that will be very interesting. It has been listed to my holiday-plan-list.

a morning call... stupid call!

It's a beautiful morning. The sun shine through my window, and the cloud seems to be go away, nice. I lay on my bed, trying to remember my imaginary to-do-list and arrange some plan, then my phone ring, don't know the number...

me : Halo, assalammualaikum...
the caller : waalaikumsalam, selamat pagi mbak, nama saya XXXXXXX, saya menelpon atas nama PT. Telkomsel Jakarta
(this time I wake up abruptly and walk outside my room to get better signal)
me : oh iya pak...
the caller : begini mbak, kami mau mengucapkan selamat...
me : (smile... a very huge smile!)
the caller : dalam rangka perayaan ulang tahun simpati telkomsel yang ke 14, kami mau mengucapkan selamat bahwa anda termasuk satu dari tiga pemenang undian berhadiah kami
me : (and the smile gone, completely gone!)

me : gak (ugh, I want to hit something!)
the caller : iya mbak, tadi malam kami menayangkan undiannya secara nasional di TV, mbak mendapatkan hadiah sebesar 10 juta lima ratus ribu rupiah dan pulsa simpati sebesar satu juta rupiah.
me : oh

and that's the time I lost my patience, I shut the call. Stupid! What a stupid fraudster! For your information, wisma mulia is the headquarter of telkomsel, not to mention that half of the building is their office, and yes, I'm sure about it, cause it is where I did my interview two days ago. Please, at least try to be smart if you want to do some fraud, but hey... if you're smart, you won't do fraud. Ugh, it ruins my beautiful morning. I hope that stupid guy get an accident or something.

I'm back...

Another trip to Jakarta, another test and another interview. My mom said that she's tired to see me go and back without clear result. But hey mom, that was the interesting part of being a jobseeker pro :D

Something caught my attention when I pass by Tosari busway shelter at Sudirman. There's a new building, still in the finishing phase, but I thought the design is unique. The first time I see it, it reminds me of UNO stacko tower, with some pieces out of the way, I just hope it's not as easy to collapse as the UNO stacko tower. Hehehe...
The area around Bundaran Hotel Indonesia is like jungle of skycrapper right now. After Grand Indonesia build 2 tower, Hyatt also add 2 tower to its complex, not to mention several new building at Tosari and the back area of Grand Indonesia (I don't know the area name). Hmmm... I remember, back in 2006 when I live in Jakarta for 2 months, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski is still in renovation, the apartment tower is not done yet and the office tower doesn't have a name yet (it's BCA tower right now), and the new tower in Hyatt just has the foundation done. Despite all the crisis issues, maybe the property business still has its spirit.

Beberes CD+DVD

Saya sedang mengklasifikasi dan mendata ulang seluruh CD dan DVD yang saya punya, terutama CD dan DVD data yang isinya bisa macam-macam dengan judul yang kurang menjelaskan. Lewat satu setengah jam, baru selesai untuk kategori Film dan Drama. Tercatat ada 14 DVD berisi film, 15 drama dan 3 campuran antara film dan drama. Untuk drama biasanya 1 DVD berisi satu judul drama, dari episode awal sampai final, drama jepang biasanya terdiri dari 10-11 episode. Kalo DVD film isinya macem-macem, antara 3-6 film per DVD tergantung ukuran file filmnya. Hasil sortir umum adalah seperti ini:

14 DVD film
15 DVD drama
3 DVD film+drama
35 keping installer dan data penting (CD+DVD)
38 DVD musik, konser, video
35 CD musik
12 DVD rusak
5 CD rusak
5 CD kosong

Semua CD+DVD ini saya kumpulkan selama masa kuliah, berarti yang saya beli dan saya download selama kuliah. Setiap DVD biasanya dipake kurang lebih 4,2 GB, berarti saya sudah mendownload kurang lebih 58,8+63+12,6 = 134,4 GB untuk drama dan film saja. Ada 27 DVD data musik (isinya hasil download semua), berarti 113,4 GB data musik... taruhan, pasti lebih dari setengah isinya korea :D 11 DVD lainnya itu DVD punya teman dan yang saya beli di kota kembang, terdiri dari 4 DVD konsernya X-Japan (punya Ditha), 5 DVD konser Dreamtheater, 1 DVD 3G, dan 1 DVD konser Within Temptation. Fyuuuhhh... untung saya gak terlalu gila anime, kalo saya doyan anime mungkin bisa ampe beratus-ratus DVD (kayak si Edho).

Klasifikasi buat film dan drama masih cukup gampang, yang ribet adalah saat harus mensortir DVD yang isinya video-video musik, dari barat, jepang, dan korea, satu DVD pasti isinya bejibun. Secara satu video performance atau video clip paling gede itu 100 MB, belum kalo isinya hasil nge-Youtube, 1 DVD bisa sangat gado-gado. Hadoh... yang ini besok aja lah diberesinnya... nyerah, loba teuing!

warnet

LAMBAT SEKALIIIIII..........

Saya lagi online di warnet, pertama kali ke warnet diluar kampus setelah 3 tahun lalu (ini serius), dan bikin saya emosi! Lambat ternyata bo. Download 14 MB aja butuh 1 jam, dan saat mencoba file 100 MB... wow... 10 jam!!! Padahal kalo download di rumah atau kampus aja 10 menit udah bikin saya kesel. Ya ampun... ternyata saya sama sekali tidak sabaran ya... Musti banyak bersyukur...

Kembang Api

Aku tak pernah tahu bahwa akan terlihat seindah ini. Setiap tahun, saat terompet-terompet murah berteriak dari ruang tengah tiap rumah, dari pinggir jalan, dari tempat manapun di seluruh dunia, aku tak ada di sana. Hanya meringkuk di dalam kamar, tidur jika bisa, baca buku kalau tak bisa tidur. Tak pernah ada yang istimewa pada pergantian 31 Desember ke 1 Januari.

Malam itu, entah apa yang membuatku berada disana, dikelilingi orang-orang, dikelilingi kemeriahan. Hanya saja aku tahu terkadang itu menyenangkan. Dan malam itu pula aku melihat bumi menggelegak. Kemilau kembang api aneka warna meluncur dari segala jurusan, seolah langsung terlontar dari permukaan tanah. Aku tak tahu bahwa bisa telihat seindah ini.

Dua puluh tahun berlalu, ternyata sudah duapuluh tahun. Renunganku mungkin setengah selesai saat perjalanan Lembang-Jayagiri-Tangkuban Parahu, dan malam itupun banyak yang bisa direnungkan. Langit malam terlalu kelam, itu membuat kembang api terlihat lebih indah, walau sesudahnya sebaris kabur awan berarak lambat ke timur. Kalau tak ada kegelapan, kau tak akan melihat bintang. Aku baru sadar bahwa kalimat itu berarti sangat luas.
